Hi, welcome to my website! 

 

I'm a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Past Life Regression Therapist and a Reiki Practitioner who has built on my 20 years experience as an leading and established Pilates, yoga meditation and mindfulness teacher.  I have always had an interest in how the mind and body works and through personal experience have also had to navigate the huge area of mental health with family and close friends. This led me down the path to hypnotherapy and the vast potential to heal ourselves by accessing the power of our subconscious mind.

 

With my experience, skills and commitment, I know that I can make a real difference in helping you improve your wellbeing, change your habits and achieve your goals. 

 

My other passion within hypnotherapy, is the area of past life therapy. Having followed the works of Dr. Brian Weiss for many years, led me to specialise in this intriguing field.  My clients have found these past life sessions to be invaluable to their healing and development and in finding a sense of peace within themselves.

More recently I have been researching into the area of "life between lives" the time and space the soul resides in before the next reincarnation. This work has been led by the Newton Institute which was founded by Michael Newton Ph.D.

 

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to help access the subconscious mind in order to facilitate change.  It can help with anxiety and stress management, fears and phobias, improve confidence and self esteem, help you lose weight, stop smoking to managing IBS and even help you to sleep better! Being in hypnosis is a deeply relaxing experience. It is simply an altered state of awareness a bit like day dreaming. We naturally drift into these states several times a day by ourselves. If you want to make positive lasting changes and improve your life and wellbeing, hypnotherapy can help you do this effectively and safely.

 

The subconscious mind not only regulates involuntary functions such as our heart beating and our breathing but is also a memory bank (like a computer or old fashioned filing cabinet) a part of our mind which stores all our experiences good or bad, our beliefs, our present habits, mannerisms and thought patterns.

Our subconscious programming can either move us forward towards our goals or hold us back in spite of our best efforts. So, if you want to change a habit, or any negative beliefs that hold you back, we must be motivated to change at a subconscious level. Therefore, it is important to learn how to gain and maintain control of your subconscious programming since this is the driving force which governs about 95% of our behaviours and habits.

Hypnosis (please refer to FAQ) uses the power of imagination (the language of the subconscious mind) to help us relax the body and the mind. When you are deeply relaxed, the subconscious mind is easily accessible and open to suggestions for change.  Logic controls the conscious mind which explains why will power and self discipline is often not enough to influence lasting change. For example, someone who wishes desperately to lose weight will imagine themselves doing what they subconsciously desire to do such as eating chocolate, cake, crisps and junk foods. Then they question why they have gone back to their old habits!

 

Hypnotherapy can be used as a stand alone treatment or can compliment other treatments but is no quick fix! It requires commitment and motivation on your part. If you are willing to embrace change then I will help you all I can so that you create the  lasting positive changes you desire and deserve!
